We worked with Pasticceria Scarpato to create our exclusive recipe, swapping out the butter for olive oil. The result is a panettone that is light and fluffy yet soft and moist, and the olive oil giving the flavours depth bringing out the aromas even more. Combined in this set with our agrumato mandarin oil, you have the best of the festive flavours.
Traditionally panettone is served as a slice and eaten as is, but it's also delicious served with some cream or gelato, dunked in hot drinks, or eaten accompanied with a sweet wine or prosecco. The mandarin oil is delicious in baking, or drizzled over meats. We have even tried it drizzled over the panettone for double the festive flavours.
Our panettone is an exclusive recipe replacing the butter with our extra virgin olive oil, created with Scarpato pasticceria, a small bakery that has been baking panettone since 1888. Our mandarin oil is made by Corrado Corradini who mills all the oils for our shop, as well as the seasonal summer and autumn adoption oils, using olives from groves he’s worked with for years, all around Le Marche where he lives. His attention to detail combined with his passion for the Mediterranean culinary tradition have led him to very authentic olive oils, which is why we love him and his oils, and have been for over 10 years.
