Easy Margherita Pizza

Margarita pizza has become a symbol of Italy. The classic you can't go past. The origins of the margarita pizza are said to be named after Queen Margarita and made to represent the Italian flag - the red of the tomato sauce, the white or the mozzarella, and the green of the basil

It is symbolic of Italian cooking where simplicity in ingredients can prevail into the perfect flavours mixes. As fresh basil isn't always on hand, here we use our Basil flavoured oil in place for an easy version of margarita pizza you can have anytime. As it is made with fresh basil ground with the lives, it tastes almost like the real thing so you can keep this in your cupboard to always be ready to make this easy margarita pizza. 


  • Makes 2-3 Pizzas


Pizza dough - store bought or recipe here Tomato sauce - store bought or recipe here Fresh buffalo mozzarella Basil flavoured olive oil to drizzle


  1. Spread your tomato pizza sauce on your pizza base with the back of a spoon.

  2. Add the toppings you wish and then bake in an oven on 240oC/475oF/GM9 for about 10-15 minutes - cooking time depends on your pizza base so watch it closely and take out when the mozzarella is melted and the base is lightly browned.

  3. Drizzle with basil flavoured oil
