QUESTIONS ABOUT SHIPPING

Do you ship to my country, and how much will it cost?

We ship to any country. The shipping for SUBSCRIPTION and GIFT adoption deliveries are included in the price of your adoption.
How much is the GIFT adoption shipping?

All shipping costs are included in the adoption pricing.

When will my shipments come?

Once you have registered your adoption you will receive the subsequent packages. Spring packages are sent out each year in April, Summer packages are sent out in July, Fall/Autumn packages are sent out in October and Winter packages are sent out in January.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE TREE ADOPTION AS A GIFT

How do I download the digital adoption registration certificate?

First you sign into your Nudo account and go to 'My Nudo'. Next you visit your gift 'Tree Profile'. Finally you can click on the 'Download Certificate' button to download and print your adoption registration certificate.

Can I have the oil and adoption registration certificate sent to different addresses?

Yes. When you check out, you’ll be asked where you would like the adoption registration certificate to be sent. When the gift recipient registers their tree they choose the address where they would like to us to send the oil.

What will my recipient get to notify them of the gift?

Your recipient will receive an Adoption Registration Gift Pack. This includes a personalised adoption certificate, an informational booklet, a personalised message (if you want one) and all the information needed to register their tree.

Why is the GIFT adoption more expensive that than a MYSELF adoption?

With the GIFT adoption we send out an Adoption Registration Gift Pack to either you or the gift recipient straight away. The MYSELF adoption entitles you to a quarterly delivery of olive oil from Nudo, but no Adoption Registration Gift Pack.

How much oil do I actually get?

The Spring delivery package contains 1.5l /50.7fl oz of oil. If you subscribe then the Summer and Winter deliveries contain 1.5l /50.7fl oz of plain oil whilst the Fall/Autumn delivery contains 0.75l /25.2fl oz of agrumato oil.

What are the shipping costs?

For a GIFT adoption the shipping charges are included in the price.

Will the oil I receive really be from my tree?

It depends on the delivery you will recieve. The deliveries depend on when you register your adoption and how long your adoption lasts. The spring delivery includes the olive oil which represents the produce from your adopted tree. We say ‘represents’ because we don’t press the olives from each tree one by one. Instead we pick several trees at once and divide the resulting oil between the adoptive parents. However, if any natural event were ever to prevent us from getting the oil to you, we reserve the right to send you an alternative oil of similar or higher quality.

What if there is a bad harvest?

Olive production is at the whim of nature, and very occasionally the olive oil production in one or more of our groves is limited. In such an extreme and unusual case we will replace the oil with a high-quality alternative from another grove.

I need a gift for a birthday/holiday/anniversary tomorrow, can you send me something to give ASAP?

Yes. We specialise in last minute gift-giving. If you go through the adoption process on our website, on the final screen after the payment, you can download a digital Adoption Registration Certificate straight away. You can print this on some nice paper and hand it over until the physical Adoption Registration Gift Pack reaches them.

Can I visit my tree?

Yes, all adoptive parents are welcome to come and hug their olive tree. Please let us know if you plan to visit at least 2 weeks in advance, so we can provide you with more information and make sure that someone is there to show you around. Email:info@nudoadopt.com for more information.

Can I get a photo of my tree?

We are currently working on taking a photo of every tree in the adoption program. Once the gift recipient registers their adoption and chooses their grove they will be able to see a photo of their tree, if there is one, in their Nudo account.

I have received a Gift Set with an Adoption - how do I register the adoption?

Simply follow the instructions in our adoption registration booklet, visit the Nudo registration page (www.nudoadopt.com/registration) and fill in your details.

Do I have to pay anything extra for the oil from my tree?

If you select 1 delivery then this is all paid for up front - there are no extra charges. If you select a subscription then you will be charged the agreed amount quarterly (approximately a month before the package is delivered).

How long is the Adoption for?

The adoption will last for 12 months if you select a 1 delivery adoption, or if you choose subscribe, the adoption is continuous until you cancel. The adoption starts from when you or the gift recipient registers their adoption.

How do I cancel my GIFT subscription?

You can cancel your GIFT subscription at any time by emailing us. We prepare each delivery about 1 month in advance (it's a long trip boat trip from Italy), so to cancel before the Spring shipment you must inform us by March 1st, for the Summer delivery by 1st June, for the Fall delivery by 1st Sept and for the Winter delivery by 1st Nov. If you do not let us know before these dates then we may not be able to cancel the delivery and you will be charged.

QUESTIONS ABOUT TREE ADOPTION FOR MYSELF

Do I need to register my MYSELF adoption?

Yes, you must register your adoption and select your grove in order to get the olive oil. You do this by following the instructions on your digital Adoption Registration Certificate that will arrive with your email receipt.

What is the difference between the tree adoption as a GIFT and the tree adoption for MYSELF?

The tree adoption for MYSELF entitles you to a quarterly delivery of olive oil from Nudo. If you choose to give the tree adoption as a GIFT instead, the gift recipient will receive an Adoption Registration Pack to start with, and once they register their tree the 1 delivery as selected by the gift purchaser.

Do I get an ‘adoption pack’ or ‘certificate’?

No. Your quarterly subscription does not include this.However, you must still regsiter your adoption in order to get your oil. The instructions for this are on the digital Adoption Registration Certificate.

How much oil do I get?

Each quarterly package contains 1.5l / 50.7fl oz of oil except for the Fall/Autumn delivery which contains 0.75l/ 25.4fl oz of our amazing flavored olive oil. You will receive 4 packages a year.

Do I have to pay extra for shipping for the packages?

No, shipping is included in the subscription price. There are no extra charges.

What do the packages contain?

The spring package contains oil from your tree, the summer package contains a monovarietal oil, the fall package contains exclusive oils from Sicily and the winter package contains unfiltered, freshly pressed olio nuovo. The idea is to give you a variety of oils to keep you happy over the year.

QUESTIONS ABOUT NUDO

Where is Nudo?

Nudo groves are scattered across Italy, in Le Marche in the centre, Sicily in the south and Liguria in the north. Nudo’s official HQ is in London in the United Kingdom, and Nudo Ltd is a UK registered company.

Why is it called Nudo?

Nudo means ‘naked’ in Italian. We called the company Nudo because we only wanted to sell simple, pure products with no pesticides, additives or modifications. Naked, in other words. (Oh ok, we also quite liked the fact it sounded a bit cheeky).

Where can I buy Nudo olive oil and other products?

We only have a few selected stockists, so the best way to buy Nudo products is through our website.

QUESTIONS ABOUT CARD PAYMENTS

Is it safe to pay with my credit card?

Yes. We use an external, internationally respected card processing company called SagePay. All the card details that you enter on our website go directly to SagePay's very secure system and Nudo never keeps a record of these details.

Why was my card declined?

There are two common reasons a credit card is declined by our payment system. The first is that the name and address provided during check out are not exactly the same as the details registered with the credit card company. Secondly, it is possible that your bank or credit card company has blocked the purchase. This can happen when they assume the purchase is fraudulent, because you are making a payment to a foreign company. If you give them a call and ask them to allow the purchase, you should be able to check out successfully on your next try.

What cards do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express for gift adoptions and webshop purchases. For the adoption subscription we accept Visa, Mastercard and AMEX.

QUESTIONS ABOUT REGISTERING YOUR ADOPTION/TREE

I've received an adoption as a gift. How do I register my tree?

You must register your adoption to activate your olive oil deliveries. Once registered you’ll be able to choose where your grove is, see a picture of your tree, and learn about the farmer who tends it.

To register you need to:

  • Go to www.nudoadopt.com/register
  • Choose an email address and password for your account
  • Enter your 6 digit registration code from your certificate

Do I need to register my olive tree adoption to receive the oil delivery?

Yes, you must register your adoption to activate your olive oil deliveries.
