Nudo’s administrative office is based in Borough Market
Our offices were closed earlier this month after the dreadful terrorist attack on London Bridge and in Borough Market.
It was a shocking time for our team as our building was in the centre of the police cordon and for several days we could not even access the office.
The whole community has come together to reclaim the streets and the market re-opened with a great feeling of community and solidarity.
Our thoughts remain with the families of those who lost their lives and those who were injured on our streets.
Here in Liguria the spring flowers have seeded so we have cut the grass throughout the groves and watched as the olive trees’ white flowers have been replaced with this year’s crop of olives.
I have to say that every year I find the whole process magical as the transformation from flower to baby olive seems to happen in just a few days and now all we can do is pray for good weather.
Our fig trees are also laden with super large fruits and this week we picked a bumper crop of apricots.
With the temperature rising to over 36 degrees everyone has needed some cooling off. I love the carrot ices the local donkey sanctuary makes for their residents!
